Garden Centre Manager
Location: Tamworth, Staffordshire
Salary: £32,000-£34,000 (willing to flex for right candidate)

This is a rare opportunity to take on a Garden Centre Manager position with in one of the largest garden centre groups in the UK.

The centre is performing well, with strong foundations in place and clear potential for further growth. With local housing developments and sales increasing year-on-year, this role offers an excellent platform for an ambitious retail manager to step up, make their mark, and develop their career within a garden centre environment.

What you'll be doing:

As Garden Centre Manager, you'll have full responsibility for the day-to-day running and commercial performance of the centre, leading from the front and driving standards across the site.

Your key responsibilities will include
  • Full accountability for sales, KPIs, and overall commercial performance, with scope to grow turnover.
  • Leading, motivating, and developing a team of 16, including three team leaders.
  • Taking a hands-on approach on the shop floor, knowing the centre inside and out.
  • Driving retail standards, customer experience, and operational consistency.
  • Working closely with team leaders who bring strong horticultural knowledge, while you focus on commercial leadership.
  • Managing rotas, recruitment, and performance management.
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety and operational procedures.
  • Playing a key role in shaping the future direction and growth of the centre.
