Overview

Cheltenham College Preparatory School seeks to appoint a number of Gap Students for a fixed period of one year from either: September 2026 to August 2027 or January 2027 to December 2027. The role would be ideal for sixth‑form/college leavers who are considering future careers in education and are keen to gain all‑round experience of day‑to‑day school and boarding life.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support and supervision in Games, PE, Art, D&T, and Pre‑Prep lessons.
  • Help with the care of boarders, particularly during mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • Assist in various school activities, ensuring support for pupils and boarding provision.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Energetic, with high levels of integrity, responsibility, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work supportively and encouragingly with pupils.
  • Mature attitude and awareness of School Child Protection and Behaviour policies, with the capability to report incidents of concern.
  • Applicants will reside in school accommodation; must comply with the accommodation charge and meal provisions.
Salary & Benefits

Salary: based on minimum wage for age from April 2026, £20,671.31 per annum. Accommodation charge of £77.70 per week will apply. All meals are included during term time.
