Overview
Opportunity for a strong Fund Accountant to utilise their analytical and problem-solving skills in a client-facing role.
Responsibilities
- Apply analytical and problem-solving skills in a client-facing environment.
- Prepare statutory financial statements and liaise with auditors.
- Maintain comprehensive understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS and other relevant accounting standards.
- Demonstrate strong technical accounting skills, ideally within real estate funds or an asset management environment.
- Understand and interpret private equity and real estate structures, including LPA, debt documentation, sale and purchase agreements, leases, etc.
- Write reports, business correspondence, procedures manuals and performance measurement reports at asset and fund level.
- Provide on-the-job training and lead team members.
- Note: Registered candidates and work permits considered.
Salary: £45,000.
Qualifications
- ACA or ACCA (or equivalent) part-qualified or 3+ years in a comparable position, if not qualified.
- Comprehensive understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS and related statutory financial statements and auditor liaison.
- Strong technical accounting skills, ideally gained within real estate funds or an asset management environment.
- Deep understanding of private equity and real estate agreements and interpretation of terms within including LPA, debt documentation, sale and purchase agreements, leases, etc.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedures manuals and performance measurement reports at asset and fund level.
- Experience in on-the-job training and leading team members.
