The Role

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Maths and English Functional Skills (Entry Level to Level 2).
• Embed employability and life skills into lessons to help students gain confidence in real-world contexts.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet a range of learning needs and styles.
• Mark work, assess progress, and provide constructive feedback.
• Work closely with support staff to create an engaging and inclusive classroom experience.

Requirements

• Proven experience teaching Functional Skills Maths and English, ideally within a post‑16 or SEND setting.
• A passion for supporting students with diverse needs and helping them prepare for adulthood and employment.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
