Part-Time Functional Skills Maths & English Tutor

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and supportive Functional Skills Maths and English Tutor unrivaled to join work on a part-time basis. You will deliver engaging, learner-focused sessions to support students in achieving their Functional Skills qualifications and developing confidence in essential numeracy and literacy skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Functional Skills Maths and English lessons (Entry Level to Level 2)
• Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learner needs
• Track learner progress and provide constructive feedback
• Prepare learners for assessments and exams
• Maintain accurate records in line with organisational requirements
• Provide a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Requirements

• Teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed, Level 3/4 Award in Education & Training) or willingness to work towards one
• Functional Skills or GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above
• Experience teaching Functional Skills Maths and/or English
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate and engage learners with varying abilities

Desirable

Experience working with learners with additional needs

Assessing qualification (TAQA/A1 or equivalent),UnityLocality

Experience delivering online or blended learning
