Responsibilities
  • Undertake nurse-led clinics and treatment/ therapies for functional bowel disease patients.
  • Undertake PH manometry and anorectal physiology.
  • Liaise with Multidisciplinary team and support colorectal surgeons in MDT clinic.
  • Patient education and support with irrigation.
  • Day to day management of a case load of Functional Bowel Disease patients.
  • Communication and coordination.
  • Education.
  • Research and Development.
  • Records Management.

This rare and exciting opportunity has become available and we are looking for an experienced practitioner to join the surgical team. We have specific surgical consultants working within this speciality and the role of this CNS would be to work along side these clinician as well as managing their own group of patients. Pelvic floor disorders are widespread and affect a large number of people, including both men and women. It is estimated that 25% of the population suffer with functional bowel issues.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
