Key Responsibilities
  • Supplier Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers to enhance service delivery for the Trust, ensuring the timely procurement of medicines.
  • Timely Ordering: Manage the ordering and receiving of medicines, ensuring that they are available to meet the demands of our patients.
  • New Medicine Sourcing: Identify and source new medicines to address emerging needs and support the resolution of supply challenges.
  • Cross-Site Coordination: Liaise with Technicians and Pharmacists across all sites to provide up-to-date information on the status of products.
  • Support Initiatives: Assist the Medicines Effectiveness team with Formulary and Savings initiatives, contributing to the Trust’s efficiency goals.
  • System Management: Update the Pharmacy system with the latest contract information to ensure accurate records.
  • Shortages Reporting: Provide critical information on medicine shortages to support decision-making in weekly meetings.
