Job description
Overview

Location: Notting Hill, London

Role: Live-in Nanny for a toddler and a newborn (due January 2026). Knowledge of Italian would be an advantage. The role includes all general nanny duties, with 24‑hour cover required for the first three months, before transitioning to a full‑time daytime position. A valid first aid qualification is required. The family undertakes worldwide travel of 4 to 8 weeks per year, so flexibility is essential. Accommodation: own room, Monday to Friday.

Note: This position starts in January 2026.

Working hours

Mon to Fri: 24‑hour cover for the first 3 months; after that, 58 hours per week (pro rata). Following the initial period, normal daytime hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (Mon to Fri).

Responsibilities
  • Assist with nappy changes and prepare bottles for the baby
  • Bath the children and maintain proper hygiene
  • Ensure the children’s safety, well‑being, and overall development
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks tailored to the children’s needs
  • Keep bedrooms and play areas clean, tidy, and organised
  • Engage the children in interactive play, educational activities, and outdoor outings (e.g., park visits)
  • Encourage early literacy through regular reading sessions
  • Provide homework support and assist with the children’s learning
  • Establish and maintain consistent daily routines to promote structure and development
