The Role

The School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences is seeking a motivated and ambitious Lecturer to join our teaching team for a 12-month period. This role will contribute to the Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Research Group. We are looking for applicants with an expanding academic profile who aspire to generate internationally significant outputs in both teaching and research. The successful candidate will be part of an academic team that contributes to sector-leading teaching across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, aligning with the new GPhC standards for the initial education and training of pharmacists. The position will be based at the Faculty of Life and Health Sciences on the Coleraine campus.

The post holder will support staff in developing and enhancing academic curricula and will contribute to Ulster University through various associated duties. Additionally, the role involves contributing to the administrative functions of the School and collaborating with colleagues involved in current research themes and activities.

About You
  • Qualifications: MPharm or BSc degree (first or upper second-class honours) in a pharmaceutical sciences-related area. A PhD in a closely related field such as Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacology, or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
  • Skills and Experience: Demonstrated ability to contribute to both teaching and research at an international level.
