Overview

We're looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join the Ffern team. They'll report directly to the CTO.

We have open positions across both our systems and web teams, both of which have exciting projects in the pipeline. We are a small, high-impact, high-ownership team. We value intelligence, strong communication, and technical prowess.

Our stack is fairly simple. Everything is Typescript. We run a turborepo monorepo. We use PostgreSQL (hosted on Supabase) for our application databases, and Redis for our caching needs. We use Next.js for our web application and serverless functions. We use Chargebee.js for our subscription provider, and Stripe.js for our payments provider. We use Zod for runtime type checking and React Query to manage our fetch logic.

Key Responsibilities

• Systems Architecture: Build and maintain efficient, scalable, well-thought-out systems and processes. We strongly value simplicity in systems architecture.
• Internal Tools: Construct internal dashboards and tools to help departments understand and interact with our technical systems.
• Ecommerce Expansion: Help us expand Ffern’s e-commerce offerings - think additional subscription items and one time purchases.
• Be a Hero: Save the day by flagging and responding to systems related technical emergencies.

Your Profile

• At least 3 experience as a full stack developer.
• Academic degree from a top-tier university.
• Technically Minded: You reason logically. You get a kick out of architecting systems and building processes.
• Passionate about working in the start-up world for a sustainable and mission-driven brand.
