Full Stack Software Developer - Golang Python, Node, Dart, Angular, React, Vue, Azure - £65-75k & Benefits

Location: Glasgow / Hybrid. Please note, you need to be located within 30 miles from central Glasgow.

This role sits within a new, ground-breaking tech-led initiative aimed at redefining the standards of care delivery in mental health environments. By leveraging radar technology as a non-visual patient safety aid, this innovative System as a Service (SaaS) platform seeks to address critical challenges in patient safety, clinical efficiency, and operational scalability.

Role

Role Summary: They are at an exciting stage in their growth journey and are looking to make the most of their market presence. They are seeking a versatile Full Stack Software Engineer to join their team in Glasgow to help accelerate their growth. The title is Full Stack, and they want an exceptional Software Engineer with the ability to work across Full Stack, Cloud, Embedded responsibilities as needed. You will be a key member of a multidisciplinary team responsible for the design and development of various software systems. You will be capable of developing embedded software on IoT devices, handset applications (Android, iOS), web applications and/or cloud services, with ML/AI components as appropriate. The work will be greenfield and productionising the system as the project scales. A strong understanding of working within a highly regulated environment is required, as the product portfolio is critical to life and to improving care in the mental health sector.

Key responsibilities
  • Work closely with a cross-functional team of engineers to develop industry-leading products, including high-level product design input.
  • Lead the design and development of various software components within the product portfolio — cloud, mobile, embedded, or AI.
  • Develop high-quality, well-documented, tested code and contribute to development reviews to maintain standards and release processes across the team.
  • Evaluate and recommend development tools and processes.
  • Take ownership of software development processes to enable a lean, efficient workflow with a high level of quality within a regulated industry.
  • Proactively seek improvements to the current system, contributing to roadmap enhancements.
  • Collaborate with onshore and offshore developers to implement a state-of-the-art software system.
  • Test and document development work to a high standard, maintaining an audit trail and revision history.
  • Conduct peer reviews of new code releases.
  • Support engineering teams during deployment and commissioning of IoT systems, ensuring smooth integration and configuration.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues in real-world environments, providing hands-on troubleshooting and technical guidance.
What you’ll bring

  • A degree in engineering, mechatronics or data science discipline is preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • A minimum of 5 years industry experience, including practical experience developing highly complex software systems combining IoT, mobile application and cloud applications.
  • You are a polyglot software engineer; you adapt to the right tools as required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Golang, Python, Node, Dart, Angular, React, Vue.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Azure, GCP or AWS (ideally more than one).
  • Knowledge of multiple database types and when to use time-series, document, table (SQL) databases.
  • Experience working on either front-end or back-end problems, with expertise in at least one.
  • Knowledge of creating quality software and integrating quality control into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of IoT protocols (MQTT).
