Job description

We're seeking someone to join our Finance Shared Services (FSS) Governance team to centralise the oversight of outsourcing requirements and ensure consistency in approach across all the global FSS teams. FSS is >97% deployed, making this a crucial, high‑focus role. This role is the central point of contact for the global FSS department for outsourcing and will liaise on our behalf with the Finance Outsourcing Control Group. The successful candidate will have regular exposure to senior leadership across FSS, including the Co‑Heads of FSS and COO, and will work with global colleagues of all levels across FSS. With ongoing regulatory and senior management interest in this area, this role is pivotal to ensuring effective oversight and compliance. In addition to their BAU responsibilities, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to lead project work to deliver consistency, efficiency and transparency for FSS outsourcing. In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the world by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm’s financial and capital resources. This is a Vice President level position within the Finance Business Management division.

What You’ll Do In The Role
  • Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
  • Responsible for and lead a significant set of deliverables, leveraging advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment
  • Proactively identify emerging risks in individual and department work and contribute to strategies for mitigating them
  • Act as a role model and culture carrier; embody and set an example of the Firm’s values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards
  • Partner with internal FSS stakeholders to ensure compliance with outsourcing requirements, including understanding and validating changes (e.g.: resulting from deployments)
  • Develop SME knowledge to ultimately perform an internal advisory role regarding compliance requirements
  • Ensure timely communication of updates, including changes to cost allocations for US Banks and providing training across FSS as required
  • Design and implement a comprehensive dashboard that enables FSS management to monitor gaps, track ongoing projects, and assess overall compliance and performance
  • Work with the broader governance team to ensure consistency across reporting of KPI/KRIs
What You’ll Bring To The Role
  • Advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment and technical skills, as well as of industry and competitive environment
  • Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback and acknowledge efforts of team members
  • Ability to articulate risk and impact to various audiences, and create plans to mitigate those risks
  • Strong organisational / project‑management skills, with experience of innovation and process improvement
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work consistently and efficiently to achieve goals either as an individual or as part of a team
  • Experience interpreting, summarising and presenting results in a meaningful format
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and ability to engage with colleagues of all levels
  • At least 6 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
