Front‑office Data Management Consultant (VP) - sought by investment based in London - Hybrid

*12-month Fixed term contract - then conversion to permanent role*

Sitting within the Business Change & Governance team, you'll work closely with Front Office, COO, IT, Finance, ESG and other key functions to enhance data quality, build robust data models, and drive data‑led transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Data Management, Governance & Oversight
  • Lead governance of Front Office banking data, ensuring quality, consistency, and continuous improvement.
  • Create ETL pipelines and automated data ingestion processes.
  • Manage current and future data warehouse architecture, driving optimisation and best practice.
  • Integrate data outputs with tools such as Salesforce, Power BI, Dealogic and other analytics platforms.
  • Enhance the organisation's golden source of data to support reporting, analysis, and strategic initiatives.
  • Interrogate and uplift historic data to align with evolving data models.
  • Produce comprehensive documentation and business requirements.
  • Develop data models to support management information and future LLM/GenAI initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to diagnose and improve data quality issues.
  • Manage data quality and client hierarchy within Salesforce and ensure consistency across systems.
Change Management
  • Oversee change management for all data-related activities, including requirements gathering, UAT and regression testing.
  • Act as the primary contact for third‑party data solution providers and regional data stakeholders.
  • Drive process improvement and automation wherever possible.
Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership
  • Serve as SME for all data-related matters across the banking division.
  • Build strong relationships with Front Office, senior leadership, IT and operational teams.
  • Promote a culture of transparency, accountability and continuous improvement.
Experience & Skills Required
  • Strong experience working with Front Office teams in a Corporate & Institutional Banking environment.
  • Deep knowledge of financial products, accounting concepts and data modelling.
  • Excellent SQL skills and experience building complex queries and tables.
  • Proficiency in Python and working with large datasets.
  • Hands‑on experience with major cloud data warehouse solutions (e.g., Snowflake).
  • Strong background in data governance, data quality and end‑to‑end data management.
  • Experience with ETL tools, data pipelines and automation.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a large financial institution; STEM degree preferred.
  • Strong communicator, self‑starter and collaborative team player.
