We're working with a well-established freight forwarder based in Chelmsford, seeking a proactive Multimodal Operations Coordinator to join their growing team.

This role is import-focused, with a strong bias toward sea freight, handling cargo primarily to and from the Far East.

The Role

You'll be responsible for the end-to-end management of import shipments, while also gaining exposure across all modes of freight and customs entries.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing multimodal import shipments (sea freight biased, with air and road exposure)
• End-to-end operational control from origin to final delivery
• Coordinating shipments to and from the Far East
• Completing and overseeing customs entries
• Liaising with overseas agents, shipping lines, hauliers, and customers
• Ensuring compliance, accuracy, and excellent customer service throughout
