Job summary

A leading construction recruitment agency is hiring a Freelance Site Manager to oversee the refurbishment of an old ambulance station into offices in Morecambe. This is a 4-month contract with a day rate of £250 to £260, expected to last from January until April 2026. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in site management and relevant qualifications such as CSCS and SMSTS. Responsibilities include managing site activities, ensuring compliance with standards, and supervising subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a Site Manager position.
• Experience in managing refurbishment projects.
• Familiarity with health & safety standards.

Fawkes & Reece are hiring for a Freelance Site Manager to manage a cut and carve refurbishment of an old ambulance station into new offices, based in Morecambe.

What you will do as the Freelance Site Manager:

• Manage daily activities on a refurbishment project
• Small demolition works
• Refurbishment and fitout of new offices
• Ensure project is completed in line with standards
• Manage subcontractors and labour teams
• Monitor site progress and ensure compliance with health & safety standards
• Conduct daily site inspections
• Co‑ordinate daily with contracts manager and client

Required Qualifications/Experience for the Freelance Site Manager:

• Experience in commercial refurb/fitout
• CSCS
• SMSTS
• First Aid
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a Site Managers position
• UK driving licence and access to own vehicle

Pay + Benefits

• Day rate
• £250 to £260 per day
• Weekly pay on a Friday
