Job description

Freelance Producer (Part-Time / Project-Based)

Location: UK & EU

Salary: Freelance/project-based contract with potential to grow into an ongoing role (dependent on funding). Fee negotiable based on experience and scope.

Deadline: 06 October 2025

We’re seeking a dynamic, socially engaged freelance producer to help shape the next phase of Moving Kinship — an internationally touring feminist performance and social justice initiative working with diverse communities across the UK and Europe, currently supported by Perform Europe.

Your first focus will be producing the project’s culminating Perform Europe event in November 2025: an international gathering featuring leading voices in the arts and cultural sectors, committed to social justice, and addressing urgent issues of our time — migration, war, mental health, diversity, and inclusion. The event will also premiere four short films created during the European tour (Italy, Latvia, Ukraine, Netherlands). This role will then bridge into the next stage of the project’s development.

About the Project

Founded by choreographer, filmmaker and UKCP-registered psychotherapist, Dr. Beatrice Allegranti, Moving Kinship is a cross-disciplinary, trauma-informed performance initiative combining dance, activist filmmaking, and intersectional practice. Collaborating with professional dancers and marginalised communities, the project co-creates performances that respond to urgent social and political realities.

The Role

We’re looking for someone with experience in:

  • Touring, performance, and/or socially engaged arts projects
  • European & UK funding/reporting (e.g. Creative Europe, Arts Council England)
  • Budgeting, scheduling, and team coordination
  • Funding applications (UK and European)

You will work closely with the founder to:

  • Deliver the November 2025 event
  • Develop a long-term funding and producing strategy
  • Formalise Moving Kinship as a project/organisation with a European presenceIdeal Candidate
  • Knowledge of UK and/or European arts infrastructure
  • Passion for feminist, trauma-informed, socially conscious performance
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Based in the UK or Europe (remote/flexible working possible).
