We are seeking a highly skilled Freelance Footwear & Accessories Technologist for an iconic fashion brand with a rich heritage and a forward-thinking vision.

About the Role

You will play a key role in ensuring our footwear and accessories meet the highest standards of quality, fit, and functionality. Working closely with designers, developers, and suppliers, you will bring technical expertise and commercial awareness to help translate innovative designs into beautifully crafted, production-ready products.

Responsibilities

• Manage the technical development process for footwear and accessories from concept through to production
• Ensure products meet fit, performance, safety, and compliance standards
• Review prototypes, samples, and fittings, providing clear technical feedback to suppliers
• Advise on materials, constructions, and manufacturing techniques to achieve design vision and cost targets
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and deliver products on time and to standard

About You

• Proven experience as a Footwear and/or Accessories Technologist within a premium or global brand environment
• Strong technical knowledge of materials, lasts, constructions, and finishing processes
• Confident in working with international suppliers and factories
• Detail-orientated with excellent problem-solving skills
• Flexible, collaborative, and able to work independently in a freelance capacity
