A leading law firm in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Counter Fraud Lawyer to manage a caseload of suspected fraudulent motor claims. You will handle litigation, develop strategies, and collaborate with clients. The ideal candidate has over 2 years of experience in Defendant Fraud and a strong understanding of insurance litigation processes. This role offers a hybrid working model and excellent benefits including private medical insurance and a pension scheme.

Join the UK’s leading and longest-establishedCounter Fraud Team. Our client islooking for experienced legal professionals to manage a caseload ofsuspected fraudulent motor claims, working with major insurer clients to challenge dishonest claims and shape fraud litigation strategy.

What You'll Do:

  • Handle a litigated caseload of suspected fraud (e.g. staged accidents, credit hire fraud, exaggerated/invented claims)
  • Develop and execute case strategies from litigation to resolution
  • Collaborate with fraud specialists and liaise with insurer clients
  • Ensure compliance with court timetables, CPR and internal guidelines
  • Analyse evidence and identify strategic litigation opportunities
  • Achieve financial targets and maintain accurate MI and billing

What Our Client isLooking For:

  • 2 Years plus experience in Defendant Fraud
  • RTA pre-litigated or litigated claims experience
  • Strong knowledge of CPR and insurance litigation processes
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical and communication skills
  • Advocacy experience desirable
  • Experience in organised or linked fraud beneficial (not essential)
