Role Description

Allianz have a new and exciting opportunity for a Fraud Consultant. Your purpose will be to prevent, detect and disrupt insurance fraud to protect Allianz and Customers from Fraud - achieving our Financial Crime purpose. You will be working with Brokers, Customers, Third Parties and Law Enforcement agencies to progress investigations and contribute to the success of the business through the reduction of fraudulent activity.

You can be based out of one of our Chelmsford, Bournemouth or Bristol Allianz UK offices and you will need to attend the office a minimum of 2 days per month.

Salary Information

Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.

About You
  • You will be investigating referrals to the Fraud Consultant Team and deciding which referrals are fraudulent or genuine. Referrals come through multiple sources, such as Machine Learning, Action Referral, Mailbox, Phone calls, Police and Brokers.
  • Complete intelligence searches and more advanced ad hoc searches as required to aid decision whether to investigate or clear policy.
  • To provide feedback of an appropriate standard on all policy referrals to different levels including brokers and internal financial crime teams.
  • Assess different types of fraud scenarios and determine the appropriate investigations to resolve suspicions of fraudulent activity. This involves potentially communicating effectively with policy holders, victims of ghost broking and the ghost broker itself.
  • To identify linked and organised policies and elevate to Linked & Organised handlers.
  • To identify complaints, identifying the root cause and resolving where possible.
  • Be able to demonstrate an understanding of underwriting processes used across Allianz and how that impacts our decision‑making process.
  • Identify and highlight emerging fraud trends to your team leader and technical controller.
  • Using counter‑fraud databases and systems such as SIRA to identify, investigate and record fraudulent policies.
  • Where a policy is deemed potentially fraudulent capture and highlight relevant concerns and record this information accurately on relevant systems.
  • Manage your own self‑development and contribute to your 1‑2‑1's, team discussions, and continuous improvement programmes.
  • Achieve agreed service, productivity, quality and performance measures in line with business and personal objectives.
