Job summary

A leading recruitment consultancy is looking for an Interim FP&A Project Manager in Sheffield to lead a finance transformation programme. Interim FP&A Project Manager – 12-Month FTC

I’m partnering with the leading organisation of their sector to recruit an Interim FP&A Project Manager to lead a high-profile Planning & Forecasting Finance Transformation Programme.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced FP&A professional with strong project management capability to play a key role in shaping the organisation’s future planning processes and systems.

The Role:

As Interim FP&A Project Manager, you will take ownership of the end-to-end transformation of budgeting and forecasting processes. You will:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of enhanced planning and forecasting frameworks.
  • Review current FP&A processes, identify inefficiencies, and introduce standardised methodologies and tools.
  • Strengthen budget setting, reforecasting, and scenario-planning capabilities across the business.
  • Scope, select, and implement a new planning & forecasting software solution, collaborating closely with IT and Finance Leadership to ensure delivery aligns with strategic objectives.
  • Manage key stakeholders, influence decision-making, and provide hands‑on support throughout project delivery.
About You:

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • A strong FP&A background with deep understanding of planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Proven project management experience, ideally within finance transformation environments.
  • Hands‑on experience with dedicated planning and forecasting tools (beyond Excel) – this is essential.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to challenge, influence, and drive change.
  • A proactive, delivery‑focused approach with the confidence to lead a major transformation programme.
