Responsibilities

  • Prepare agendas, distribute case papers, and liaise with social workers, panel members, and advisors.
  • Take detailed, accurate, and confidential minutes of complex meetings.
  • Maintain panel records, statutory checks, and compliance with national minimum standards.
  • Produce reports and data to support performance monitoring and statutory returns.
  • Provide business support and advice to Children's Services staff and independent professionals.

Job Title: Fostering and Performance Panel Coordinator

Location: Ealing, West London, Hybrid working once training completed (6 weeks)

Hourly rate £20.96 PAYE / £27.77 Umbrella

Contract Length: 3-month contract (possibility of extension)

Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 35 hours

About the Role

A Local Authority in Ealing is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Fostering and Permanence Panel Coordinator to join our Children and Families Directorate. This pivotal role ensures the smooth running of fostering and permanence panels, supporting decisions that safeguard and promote the welfare of children in care.

You will manage all aspects of panel coordination, including scheduling, preparing documentation, and providing a full minuting service. Accuracy and confidentiality are paramount, as you will record complex discussions and ensure recommendations are documented and distributed within statutory timescales.

Key Responsibilities
