A global auto parts supplier in Washington is looking for a Counterbalance or Reach Truck Driver for a Temp to Perm position. You will support the Warehouse Manager with order picking and maintain high levels of housekeeping. Must hold a valid Reach Truck or Counterbalance licence. Competitive pay of £13/hour with day shifts.

Qualifications

• Must hold an indate Reach Truck or Counterbalance fork lift licence.
• Willing to undertake any necessary training required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Support the Warehouse Manager ensuring order picking processes are carried out.
• Book in new stock and allocate to correct location using the warehouse systems.
• Ensure all stock is allocated to the correct location at the customer's site.
• Maintain high levels of housekeeping within all warehouse locations.
• Follow company processes and procedures in line with current Health & Safety policies.

THE BUSINESS

Our client is a globally expanding auto parts supplier. Their customers are auto manufacturers and auto part unit (equipment) manufacturers. Since their beginnings nearly 70 years ago they have established various new business locations across the globe to supply high‑quality auto parts. They are a key part of the local supply chain supplying high‑quality auto parts from their base in Tyne and Wear.

THE ROLE

The position will be a Counterbalance or Reach Truck Driver supporting the Warehouse Manager ensuring order picking processes are carried out as per the managers instructions and warehouse work instructions.

• Book in new stock and allocate to correct location using the warehouse systems
• Ensure all stock is allocated to the correct location at the customer's site
• Check relevant inventory cards with the correct information
• Maintain high levels of housekeeping within all warehouse locations at both the client and customer's sites
• Follow company processes and procedures at all times keeping in line with current Health & Safety policies

THE PERSON

You would be required to work with minimum supervision and adopt a positive and proactive approach supporting the team leader with all warehouse and line feed functions.

• You must hold and indate/external Reach Truck or Counterbalance fork lift licence
• You must be willing to undertake any necessary training required for the role
