Overview

Powering forensic science with expert lab and admin support.

As our FAS Laboratory Technician, you will provide administrative and technical support to the FAS Laboratory, working within a team of multi skilled FAS Officers, who are responsible for processing and examining forensic exhibits.

You’ll be working in a dynamic and fast paced environment, supporting the quality and accreditation of the laboratory.

This is part time role 25.9 hours per week

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Utilising and implementing a range of specialist equipment and techniques to aid the development of forensic evidence.
  • Coordinating and managing equipment maintenance and calibration visits
  • Managing and controlling stock and consumables
The must haves
  • Knowledge and experience of health and safety within a laboratory environment
  • Knowledge of ISO 17025 quality standards relating to Forensic Services
  • Able to communicate effectively

For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
