Job description

Hazel Tree Education are currently supporting a secondary school in the Wigan area in their search for a full-time Food Tech Teacher to teach across the curriculum.

As a Teacher of Food Tech, you will be part of a friendly and dedicated department. You will be responsible for the teaching and planning of the Food Tech curriculum across KS3 & 4. This role is a temporary, full-time position starting February - April 2026.

Applicants must have :
  • An Honours Degree with Qualified Teacher Status and evidence of delivering the National Curriculum in UK schools
  • The ability to track, monitor and report on pupils’ progress and teach Food Tech up to GCSE level
  • A resilient nature, excellent communication skills and a creative, inspirational approach to classroom practice
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Two references including most recent employer
  • Right to work in the UK
  • A clear DBS on the Update Service or the means to acquire one
