Overview

Tradewind Recruitment are working with a secondary school in St Helens who are looking to appoint a dedicated Teacher of Food Technology. This full-time teaching position is to start immediately and will continue at least until October half-term.

We are seeking a Food Technology Teacher who can deliver engaging and creative lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will be joining a supportive Design & Technology department with excellent resources and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.

Responsibilities
  • Full-time Food Technology Teacher position in a secondary school in St Helens
  • Teaching KS3 and KS4 Food Technology to pupils of mixed ability
  • Planning, delivering and assessing engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Creating a positive and supportive learning environment for all students
  • Position will run until at least October half-term, with potential for extension
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Food Technology at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate pupils
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
Salary
  • Up to 232.56 per day (dependent on experience)
