Food Technical Manager at A1 Bacon

Role: Technical Manager

We are currently seeking a skilled Technical Manager to lead our operations, ensure quality and hygiene is maintained and drive our compliance regime. You will oversee our technical operations ensuring systems run efficiently, maintain compliance with BRC and spearhead the adoption of new quality systems to improve the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage all technical operations within the food processing facility ensuring systems run efficiently and in compliance with industry regulations.
  • Understand the business and technical requirements of all departments and tailor technology solutions to meet these needs. Ensure compliance with BRC standards by creating, implementing and maintaining robust quality systems. Routinely audit these systems and address any non-conformities.
  • Monitor review and improve health and safety systems procedures and practices in line with regulations and industry best practices to provide a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Proactively identify the need for system upgrades, configuration changes or new systems and communicate these needs effectively throughout the organisation.
  • Maintain a current understanding of advancements in food technology and regulations to ensure the company remains at the forefront of the industry.
Essential Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of BRC standards.
  • Experience in implementing quality control systems.
  • Proven experience as a technical manager or similar role.
  • Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software) networks etc.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
