Overview

Part Time 32.6 hours per week - Reduced Year - 38 weeks per year. We are looking for two dedicated Food Service Assistants to join the Food Services and Catering department at our Quarry Hill Campus. The department is at the heart of the student experience. We aim to provide an environment that creates a better future through inspirational actions guided by trust, integrity, compassion, fairness and inclusion. The catering department is fast-paced and hard-working, underpinned by optimism and fun. We may close the vacancy early if we receive a high volume of interest.

What You Will Do
  • Work closely with the chef manager to manage the student café service to a high standard, assist in preparation of food and snacks, deliver excellent customer service, and keep the kitchen and restaurant areas clean and tidy at all times.
  • Ensure customers are given prompt and efficient service and expectations are consistently exceeded.
  • Project a willing and helpful attitude to customers, seek knowledge of food items, and keep service areas clean and fully stocked.
  • Work within the kitchen area preparing light dishes such as wraps, paninis and salads.
  • Stock and clean vending machines.
  • Ensure food safety requirements are adhered to at all times and all due diligence records are completed accurately.
