Overview

Are you an experienced leader with a passion for food manufacturing? We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Food Production Team Leader to join our growing team in Ashington. You\'ll play a key role in ensuring our production lines run smoothly, safely, and efficiently, delivering high-quality products to our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of production operatives to achieve daily targets
  • Plan and coordinate all production activities during your shift
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards at all times
  • Monitor production output, quality, and efficiency, taking corrective action as needed
  • Liaise with colleagues in planning, technical, and supply chain departments
  • Maintain accurate production and personnel records
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and drive operational excellence
  • Ensure smooth handovers between shifts and effective communication within the team
  • Assist with training new staff and supporting team development
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing environment (essential)
