A leading food manufacturing company is looking for a Machine Operative to join their new Beetroot Production factory in Lichfield. In this role, you will operate and maintain retort cooking machinery, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. Responsibilities include identifying mechanical faults, performing asset care, and training other operatives. Work hours are 4 days on followed by 4 days off, with a competitive pay of £13.73 per hour.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a machine operative in a food manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of retort cooking processes is a plus.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run machinery ensuring safety and hygiene.
• Perform rudimental asset care and remedial work on equipment.
• Train operatives and ensure quality at all production stages.
