Main duties of the job

Therole oversees menu development, team leadership, and service standards toensure consistency and excellence in every interaction. Working collaborativelywith clinical teams, facilities, and event coordinators, the Food and BeverageManager ensures compliance with food safety standards and health and safetylegislation, manages budgets and resources effectively, and drives continuousimprovement to create a distinctive, high-quality experience for all who usethe service.

Job responsibilities
  • Lead and supportthe catering and reception teams, ensuring effective staffing and high servicestandards.
  • Drive serviceimprovement and contribute to delivering the Estates and Facilities Strategy.
  • Gather and act onfeedback from patients, visitors and staff.
  • Maintain aconsistent, restaurant-quality offer across both sites.
  • Plan and delivercatering projects on time and within budget.
  • Implement and useelectronic systems to support modernisation.

Person Specification
Qualifications
  • Catering qualification from a recognised provider, or sufficient experience demonstrating equivalent competencies
Experience
  • Experience managing catering operations across multiple services (e.g., patient meals, staff dining, cafes, events)
  • Experience working in a restaurant, hotel, or similar environment
  • Familiarity with stock control, ordering systems, and equipment maintenance
  • Experience using electronic systems for data management and reporting
  • Exposure to customer feedback processes and service improvement initiatives
  • Experience delivering high-quality buffets, functions, and events
  • IT literacy, particularly Microsoft 365, including electronic data systems
