Folder Gluer Operator

Location: Porth, South Wales

Salary: £25,790 including benefits

Hours: 4-day working week (Monday to Thursday) on a permanent early shift

Join a long-established UK packaging manufacturer, renowned for producing high-quality folding cartons for some of the nation's best-loved brands across the confectionery, beauty, and healthcare sectors.

We're looking for an experienced Folding & Gluing Operator to join the team within a busy, high-quality production environment. This is a hands‑on role where attention to detail, teamwork, and pride in your craft are key to success.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain folding‑gluing machinery to achieve top‑quality production output
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency, quality, and safety
• Work closely with your Team Leader and colleagues to meet daily production and quality targets
• Conduct in‑process quality checks, identifying and reporting any issues promptly
• Maintain accurate job records and ensure a clean, organised working area

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience operating folding‑gluing machines (Signature, Vega, Bobst, or similar)
• Strong mechanical aptitude with great attention to detail
• Team‑oriented, reliable, and quality‑driven approach to work
• A positive, proactive attitude with flexibility to support production needs

• 4-day working week (Monday to Thursday) - 6am to 3.30pm - 36 hours per week
• Salary of £25,790 per annum including benefits
• Competitive overtime rates - time and a half for the first 4 hours, double time thereafter
