A growing environmental consultancy is looking for a Flood Risk Consultant based in Manchester. The role involves producing Flood Risk Assessments, developing drainage solutions, and managing small projects. Ideal candidates should have a degree in Geography, Environmental Science, or Civil Engineering, and at least 2 years of experience in a UK consultancy. In this role, you will prepare Flood Risk Assessments and develop conceptual drainage strategies to support planning applications.
You will also have the chance to lead small-scale projects and work closely with our geo-environmental team on multi-disciplinary developments.

Produce Flood Risk Assessments for planning submissions.
Develop SuDS strategies and drainage solutions.
Coordinate with sub-consultants (e.g., topographical or CCTV survey providers).
Liaise directly with clients, regulatory bodies, and internal team members.
Manage small to medium-scale projects.
Contribute to geo-environmental investigation reports.
Degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
2 years' experience in a UK consultancy preparing Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies.
Candidates with 12 months experience will also be considered.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and working knowledge of AutoCAD, GIS, and Causeway Flow / Infodrainage (or similar software).
Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work independently while staying aligned with project requirements.
Willingness to work towards professional chartership (e.g., CIWEM).
Full UK driving licence.
