Job summary

An education recruitment agency is looking for a Primary Tutor in Blackburn to provide tailored one-to-one support in Maths and English. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of teaching experience, preferably with primary-level learners, and the ability to adapt teaching methods. A calm and confident tutor with the right to work in the UK and an Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain) is preferred. Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring Maths or English at primary level.
• Experience working with learners in a 1:1 or small group setting.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Must hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one or small group lessons in Maths and English.
• Adapt lesson content and pace to suit different learning styles.
• Support students in building subject knowledge and confidence.
• Establish a trusting rapport to create a supportive learning environment.
• Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.
