A leading renewable energy company is looking for a Senior Technician to oversee technical issues in maintenance operations for wind turbines. The role involves writing documentation, preparing work packs, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Candidates should have deep technical knowledge in the Wind Turbine industry, effective communication skills, and the ability to lead teams. This position requires travel to various offshore sites in the UK and Europe. A qualification in the offshore wind sector is essential.

Functional area: Operations & Maintenance
Fleet Servicing is an established annual servicing team within Operations Portfolio Management that is responsible for the scheduled maintenance of Wind Turbines at Nordsee-Ost, Kaskasi, Greater Gabbard and London Array from an SOV along with supporting HV operations and troubleshooting over the winter months as required.
The Fleet Servicing Senior Technician will report to the SOV Manager and have primary responsibility for providing technical advice and recommendations on maintenance scopes and troubleshooting activities as well as being the key contact to interact with RWE site and central teams regarding troubleshooting advice and WTG health.
The Senior Technician will be responsible for the technical delivery of the service performed by the Fleet Servicing team at windfarms serviced by the Fleet Servicing concept. The Senior Technician will need to prepare work packs for the team leads, prepare and present the set to work brief in the absence of the Operations Coordinator and work closely with the back‑office team to ensure tools, equipment and spares are prepared for the following days.
The SOV sails every 14 days from ports in the UK and Germany, travel and local visas are required for this role.
There will be an expectation to travel to sites outside of your base location (including Europe/Overseas) which may involve overnight stays.
