Job summary

A leading recruiting firm in the United Kingdom is looking for a Plant & Transport Manager to oversee their fleet of surfacing plant and vehicles. The ideal candidate will ensure safe, efficient transport operations and maintain compliance with industry regulations. This role requires proven experience in plant and transport management, knowledge of surfacing equipment, and excellent organizational and communication skills. Competitive salary circa £55,000 based on experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in plant and transport management, preferably in the road surfacing or civil engineering sector.
• Understanding of operator licensing, transport compliance, and construction regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the company's fleet of surfacing plant and vehicles.
• Ensure compliance with legal, manufacturer, and company requirements for maintenance.
• Oversee all transport operations and manage drivers and transport staff.

Strong knowledge of surfacing plant and HGV operations

Education

Valid CPC (Transport Manager's Certificate of Professional Competence)
