Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary risk partner to front-office teams, providing guidance on credit and lending risk matters.
- Review, challenge, and monitor credit proposals, ensuring alignment with risk appetite and regulatory standards.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate emerging risks across consumer credit and lending activities.
- Support the development and implementation of risk frameworks, policies, and controls within Private Banking.
- Drive a culture of risk awareness through training, advice, and engagement with client-facing teams.
- Collaborate with 2nd line risk and compliance teams to ensure robust governance and reporting.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong background in consumer Duty and lending risk, ideally within private banking or wealth management.
- Deep understanding of credit risk assessment, portfolio monitoring, and lending processes.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and conduct risk considerations.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to challenge constructively.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment in decision-making.
