Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of a respected fire protection contractor delivering high-quality fire stopping and passive fire safety solutions across London and the surrounding regions. Due to continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, we are seeking an experienced Fire Stopping Project Manager to lead and coordinate multiple live schemes from inception to completion.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional with strong technical knowledge of fire stopping systems and a track record in managing teams and delivering compliant installations.

The role:
As a Fire Stopping Project Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Managing fire stopping projects across London, with occasional travel to sites elsewhere
  • Overseeing installation teams and ensuring works are completed to the highest safety, quality, and compliance standards
  • Planning and coordinating labour, materials, and resources
  • Liaising with clients, site teams, subcontractors, and internal departments
  • Conducting site audits and inspections to ensure ongoing compliance with fire safety regulations
  • Producing RAMS, project documentation, and regular progress reports
  • Managing budgets, timelines, and commercial elements of each project
  • Ensuring accurate records of completed works, including photographic evidence and compliance documentation
We're looking for someone with:
  • Strong background in fire stopping, passive fire protection, or a related construction discipline
  • Proven experience managing projects or sites from start to finish
  • Excellent understanding of fire safety regulations, installation standards, and third‑party accreditation requirements
  • Confident leadership skills with the ability to support and develop onsite teams
  • Strong communication and client‑facing skills
  • Good IT and reporting skills
Qualifications and requirements
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Fire stopping or passive fire protection qualifications (e.g., NVQ, IFCC/FIRAS training, manufacturer training) desirable
  • CSCS card
  • SSSTS/SMSTS preferred
  • DBS check or willingness to undertake one
