About the Roles
We are currently recruiting Fire & Security Engineers to join our growing teams working across Essex, London, and within the M25 area.
Opportunities are available for Small Works / Commissioning Engineers as well as Maintenance & Service Engineers supporting commercial and public-sector clients.
1️⃣ Small Works & Commissioning Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver small works installations - including device additions, panel replacements, loop extensions, and remedial updates.
- Commission and handover fire and security systems to a high standard with full documentation and as-fitted drawings.
- Fault-finding, diagnostics, and testing to project specifications.
- Liaise with Project Managers, Clients, and site contacts to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with British Standards (BS5839-1:2025) and company procedures.
- Participate in a 1-in-6 call-out rota for emergency support.
Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of BS5839-1:2025 and relevant industry standards.
- Fire Alarm qualifications (FIA / Level 3 / equivalent).
- Proven experience commissioning systems such as Advanced, Kentec, Ziton, Morley, and Gent.
- Excellent fault-finding skills and ability to deliver to tight deadlines.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
2️⃣ Fire & Security Maintenance / Service Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake planned preventive maintenance and reactive repairs for Fire Alarms, CCTV, Intruder, Access Control, PA, and Automatic Gates.
- Respond to breakdowns and complete first-fix repairs to minimise downtime.
- Complete all service reports, PPM documentation, and certificates accurately.
- Work within agreed SLA/KPI targets and ensure excellent client satisfaction.
- Participate in a standby rota for emergency callouts when required.
Requirements
- Electrical Competency Qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ) or equivalent.
- Experience with Fire Alarm and CCTV systems (IP and Analogue).
- Familiarity with Access Control, Intruder, and EAS systems desirable.
- Full UK Driving Licence essential.
- IPAF and ECS/CSCS certifications advantageous.
- Willingness to work flexible hours when required.
