Job Summary
Due to ongoing growth, Corrigenda is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Fire and Security Assistant Technical manager to oversee a broad range of planned, reactive and project tasks across our contracts based in Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey. This role is an office-based role, where your time will be spent supervising your team and managing internal and external customer expectations. The expectation will be that your time will be spent in the office, but site visits will be required. The work will be predominantly in commercial properties in the education, private & public sectors.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Participation in the out of hours management call out rota currently 1 in 20.
  • Ensure that accurate cost estimates and quotations are provided in a timely fashion.
  • Work flexible hours to suit business requirements.
  • Manage labour and resource allocation and planning for reactive works ensuring SLAs are achieved.
  • Ability to work effectively on own or as part of a team to meet client contract expectations.
  • Attend supplier meetings, operational site meetings and client meetings as required.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and site staff to arrange site access to required working areas.
  • Support accreditation audits.
  • Undertake tools and equipment asset auditing.
  • Flexible approach to supporting other resources as required.
  • Order materials and request purchase orders.
  • Ensure risk / method statements are produced and are suitable and sufficient for tasks minimising risks to engineers and end users.
  • Responsible for HR matters across the Technical Service area, and supporting direct reports to manage their teams.
  • Identify potential areas for training to enhance capability.
  • Manage HR processes for the team such as holiday approvals, return to works, leavers process and any employee relations issues.
  • Help the Technical Service Manager oversee profitability of jobs undertaken to ensure gross profit targets are achieved.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications
  • Good knowledge of BS5839-1:2025, PD6662.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to operate SMART devices and complete electronic documentation.
  • Full driving licence.
  • The ability to satisfy BS7858 and enhanced DBS checks.
