Job summary

A leading fire protection company based in Manchester is seeking a Service Technician. The candidate will be involved in maintaining and inspecting fire sprinkler systems and alarm valves. They will work on mechanical piping systems and have responsibilities that include fault finding and installation of control wiring systems. The role offers a basic salary of up to £45,000, with travel payments and a 38-hour workweek from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical piping systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with servicing alarm valves and fire pumps is essential.
• Must be able to work as part of a teamwork under a Service Manager.

Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance and inspection of pump units and alarm valves.
• Fault find and install control wiring systems and panels.
• Strip and overhaul pumps as necessary.
