Job description

Our client is a multidisciplinary organisation committed to supplying professional Asbestos, Fire Safety and Health & Safety services to clients throughout the UK. They are now looking for a high calibre Fire Risk Assessor/Health & Safety Consultant based in the London area.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Hands‑on experience carrying out fire risk assessments and familiarity with relevant Health & Safety procedures and policies.
  • Competence in conducting health & safety and compliance audits.
  • NEBOSH Health & Safety certificate or equivalent qualification (preferred).
  • NEBOSH Fire Certificate or NEBOSH Fire Conversion – Technician status preferred. Recognition of IFSM/IFPO/IFE also preferred.
  • Good educational, consultancy, technical, construction and asbestos background.
  • Experience working on various properties, including commercial, industrial and public sectors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, client‑facing and organisational abilities.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Package.
  • In‑depth knowledge of undertaking fire risk assessments and relevant Health & Safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake fire risk assessments and health & safety risk assessments across commercial, industrial and residential sectors.
  • Prepare and maintain fire plan drawings, organise fire drills, fire warden duties, extinguisher use and real fire training.
  • Deliver training courses and presentations to clients.
  • Develop and manage a client base, building and maintaining relationships.
  • Develop action plans for fire safety and produce comprehensive reports.
  • Conduct health & safety, staff and compliance audits, and produce environmental reports.
  • Assist senior management in delivering consultancy services and liaise with the Fire Safety Consultant on projects.
