Job description

Due to the recent acquisition of new contracts this established name within the industry is now looking to employ an experienced and competent Fire & Legionella Risk Assessor based in and around the London area. Undertaking daily tasks such as carrying out risk assessments in line with ACOP L8, producing schematic drawings and final documents for clients and general water hygiene duties. Applications from Ashford, Basildon, Southend-on-Sea, Basildon, and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience

• Extensive experience working in this role.
• Good working knowledge of the industry and health & safety legislation.
• Will have attended an approved Risk Assessment course(s) such as City & Guilds or have had internal training courses.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient with Microsoft office package.
• Must hold the NEBOSH Fire Certificate or NEBOSH Fire Conversion – ISE/IFSM/IFPO/IFE registered- or Fire trained-NVQ levels.

Role

• Carrying out Legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8.
• Producing schematic drawings and final documents for clients.
• Providing recommendations and prices for remedial works, routine control measures through to quotations, and carrying out such works based on the risk assessment.
• Tank cleans and general water hygiene duties.
• Monthly temperature testing and water sampling.
• Surveying of water systems and supplies.
• Writing up reports and attending meetings with clients to discuss findings of reports.
• Carry out Fire Risk and Health & Safety Risk Assessments in a variety of industry sectors including commercial, industrial and residential.
• Undertake Fire plan drawings, fire drills, use of extinguishers, real fire training, briefings etc.
• Deliver presentations to staff and clients.
