A leading housing association in the UK is seeking a Fire Joinery Technician to provide customer-oriented repair services. You will be tasked with installing fire doors and ensuring compliance with fire safety standards. The role includes efficient planning of workloads and delivering high-quality repairs while prioritising safety. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of £31,166, 27 days of holiday, and a local government pension scheme. Ideal candidates will have strong joinery skills and relevant qualifications.
As a Fire Joinery Technician, you will deliver an effective, customer-oriented repair and maintenance service across the Together Housing Group properties. Utilising your joinery skills, you will carry out tasks to exceptional standards, aiming to complete them in a single visit whenever possible. This position is hands‑on, with a strong emphasis on fire safety. Your responsibilities will include the installation of fire doors and fire‑stopping materials, as well as ensuring all work meets fire compartmentation standards. You will also independently diagnose issues and perform repairs, prioritise safety at all times, and maintain a high level of professionalism in your interactions with tenants and colleagues.
