Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within an industry‑leading environmental company that provides a wide range of fire risk and compliance services to clients throughout the UK. They are looking to recruit an experienced, dedicated, and hardworking Fire Door Inspector to join their team based in and around the Chelmsford area. The ideal candidate will be experienced in all passive fire protection services and procedures. Applications from Colchester, Basildon, Dartford, and the surrounding areas will be considered.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Will ideally hold relevant industry qualifications in fire prevention and fire door inspections.
  • Must have extensive experience inspecting and installing fire prevention systems, fire doors, alarms, and extinguishers.
  • Must have a good working knowledge of Fire Risk and Health & Safety procedures.
  • Knowledge and understanding of passive fire protection measures and policies.
  • All applicants must have IPAF/PASMA certificate.
  • Full clean driving licence will be beneficial.
  • Must have excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Proficient IT skills – including MS Office.
Responsibilities
  • Undertaking fire plan drawings, fire drills, fire warden duties, use of extinguishers, real fire training, briefings, delivering training courses, etc.
  • Delivering presentations and training to internal staff as required.
  • Developing and maintaining a varied portfolio of clients – both new and existing.
  • Liaising with clients regarding preventative measures and providing quotes for works.
  • Addressing any issues that may arise effectively and appropriately.
  • Supporting and liaising with the Fire Safety Consultant with regards to consultancy work.

The successful candidate will be hardworking and reliable, with a flexible and adaptive approach to their work. The ideal candidate will be experienced in passive fire protection measures and demonstrate their professional knowledge and experience gained working in a similar role.
