Fortus Recruitment are a recruitment company that specialise in placing people within the repairs & maintenance industry.

We are currently working on behalf of a Local Authority.

We're expanding and looking for a skilled Fire Alarm Engineer to join our clients friendly, high-performing team.

As a fire engineer you will report to the Supervisor / Contract Manager, and you are the first point of contact between the business and the client.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Fire alarm servicing and maintenance, reactive and repair and installation work
  • Diagnosing and rectifying faults
  • Carrying out company worksğinin? required and to desired standards alltafpath>
  • Providing the highest level of customer care and always promoting a good external perception of the company
  • Producing reporting on time and to agreed standards
  • Adhering to the company's quality management system and recycling correctly and responsibly
  • Experience in fire alarm maintenance, installations and repairs, preferably within the public sector
  • FIA qualification is preferable but not essential
  • A sound knowledge of tools, equipment & materials
  • Current trade qualifications
  • Good communication skills, both verbal & written
  • IT literate
  • A commitment to great customer service
Salary and Benefits
  • Competitive salary relative to experience (PAYE)
  • 23 days holiday per year, and you can secure 1 extra day holiday per full year of service up to a cap of 25 days. From this allowance we will provide you the option to sell 3 days back to the company per year, or you can take 3 days into the next holiday year. Plus, statutory bank holidays (currently 8)
  • Over and above the increased allowance, should either or both Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve fall on a weekday, you will not be required to work past midday, but will be paid a full day
  • Auto enrolment into the government pension scheme

  • All plant tools supplied for example drills, steps, ladders Vaughan Tiny testers
  • We pay time and a half rate for evening and Saturday working hours
