A leading international law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate / Director to join its growing Financial Services Regulation & Funds team in London.

This role offers the chance to advise a broad range of clients – from investment managers and private equity sponsors to fintechs and government entities – on complex fund formation and regulatory matters across the UK and key offshore jurisdictions.

The Role

  • Structuring and launching private equity, hedge, credit and alternative funds.
  • Advising on AIFMD, FCA rules, SFDR, and international regimes.
  • Drafting and negotiating fund documents and investor agreements.
  • Managing cross-border mandates and external counsel.
  • Supporting governance and regulatory strategy for clients.

About You

  • England & Wales qualified, with 7+ PQE in fund formation and financial regulation.
  • Strong knowledge of UK and international regimes (AIFMD, FCA, SFDR, offshore frameworks).
  • Experience across jurisdictions such as UK, Ireland, Luxembourg, Cayman, BVI or Channel Islands.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with experience at a leading firm, fund manager or service provider.
