A growing professional services firm in London is seeking a Financial Planning Trainee to assist with client portfolios and deliver high-quality advice. Responsibilities include preparing reports, identifying planning opportunities, and managing assignments. The ideal candidate has a 2.1 degree and strong communication skills. Training towards professional qualifications is provided, along with mentorship and a structured development program.

We are a trusted team of approximately 20 people, including 3 Partners, who work closely with clients that have assets all over the world but are UK resident. Each of their goals is different but overall, they are seeking solutions for either wealth accumulation or preservation.
You will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects from creating and delivering presentations, building a cash flow planning model to reviewing an investment portfolio. Whatever the challenge, you will build lasting relationships with your clients and colleagues in different teams around the firm. The team has a training ethos with a focus on taking on graduates who want to build a career in financial planning.
This role is due to commence in September 2026.
In this role, you will be working on a portfolio of private clients, assisting with the delivery of financial planning advice, delivering high quality, professional services to clients at all times, and assisting with administrative and support responsibilities within the Financial Planning Team,
In addition, you will study towards the RQF level 4 Regulated Diploma in Financial Planning before completing the level 6 Advanced Diploma. Studying towards these professional qualifications, as well as learning from our team of specialists on a daily basis, ensures you are well equipped with the knowledge to help advance you through your career.
Training consists of a combination of courses at the tutors’ offices, private study and regular exams, as well as on-the-job training. You will have paid study leave to support you in the run up to exams and all course and exam fees are paid for.

Internally, you’ll be supported by a manager who will act as your mentor, a trainee buddy, partners, senior staff and a dedicated Learning & Development team.
As you progress through your training you will receive incremental salary increases as you hit various milestones in your qualification.
