A sustainable biosurfactant company is seeking a Financial Controller to manage day-to-day financial operations. This role involves overseeing monthly financial processes, managing cash flow, and ensuring accurate reporting. Manchester, Trafford Park or Wallasey, Merseyside (attendance at both sites will be required on a weekly basis).

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Financial Controller (hands‑on) will own the day‑to‑day financial operations of the business, ensuring accurate, timely, and well‑controlled financial reporting. This role is responsible for running the monthly close, maintaining balance sheet integrity, managing cash flow, and providing reliable financial information to support decision‑making in a fast‑growing startup environment.
The Financial Controller will work closely with the Finance Director, FP&A, and the Assistant Accountant acting as the operational backbone of the finance function while remaining actively involved in the detail.
