Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Finance Manager, ideally within construction.
  • Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with experience developing and mentoring finance professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and revenue recognition.
  • Review/prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow, and detailed board reports.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory reporting requirements, VAT, and HMRC submissions.
  • Review monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Work with the team to prepare and manage budgets.
  • Supervise and mentor the finance team, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and professional growth.
  • Strengthen internal financial controls and streamline accounting systems and processes.
  • Work with the Statutory accountant to ensure smooth audit cycles.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis to support senior leadership in strategic decision-making.
  • Assist the FD on projects and ad hoc tasks as necessary.

Location: Rigifa, Cove Aberdeen
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30
Contract: Permanent

About You
