Financial Controller - ADEY

Lead financial performance, governance, and continuous improvement across a market leading business.

ADEY, part of Genuit Group's Climate Management Solutions (CMS) division, is a leader in water treatment technologies that improve system efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and support the decarbonisation of buildings. As CMS continues to embed the Genuit Business System (GBS) and strengthen operational excellence across the Group, ADEY plays a critical role in delivering accurate, timely and insightful financial performance that underpins sustainable growth.

Our purpose is to support a better built environment through innovation, efficiency and strong financial stewardship. This role sits at the heart of that mission, ensuring robust financial control, high quality reporting, and a culture of continuous improvement across the ADEY finance function.

The Role

The Financial Controller will be a key member of the Finance Management Team, working closely with the ADEY Finance Director to manage financial performance, strengthen governance, and lead a high performing finance team. This influential role will:

Financial leadership & reporting
  • Lead day-to-day financial operations, monthly management accounts and Group reporting.
  • Provide accurate, timely management information to support decision making.
  • Support monthly performance reporting, budgeting and reforecasting.
Governance & compliance
  • Manage internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to Group controls.
  • Prepare annual accounts and oversee cashflow, payroll and payment runs.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with legislation and accounting standards.
Continuous improvement & business partnering
  • Lead improvements to finance processes, systems and reporting.
  • Partner with business functions to drive efficiency and profitability.
  • Build strong cross functional relationships across ADEY and CMS.
Team leadership
  • Manage and develop Management Accountants and Accounts Assistants.
  • Foster a collaborative, high performance culture.

The role is based in Gloucester, with travel to ADEY and Genuit Group sites as required.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA).
  • Demonstrable experience in financial control, reporting and business partnering.
  • Experience managing audits, internal controls and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong systems capability and IT literacy.
